Dark Chocolate!
Roast venison, turkey, chicken
Fried breaded striper fish
Grilled cheese sandwich
Wild strawberries (the domesticated ones are too bland)
Fresh apple cider
Fresh raw spinach (best when served live) (goes good with new potatoes)
"Hickory King" corn, the same day its picked
Wild chanterelles, those mushrooms that look like melted cheese growing on the ground
Birch (to gnaw on, the inner bark tastes minty)
Chai Green tea
Sorrelweed (very tangy tasting, good in salads)
Hard cider, muscadine wine, cinnamon schnapps
smoked gouda (that's a cheese)
goat cheese
kidney beans
cashews, macadamias

Used to enjoy chinquepins
(similar to wild chesnut except smaller and grows on a shrub)
back when they still existed, before imported plagues killed them.

I also used to eat beech nuts, but then I read that they were poisonous.
(oh well, they were too difficult to shell anyway)

There is a species of Appalachian briars that in the springtime,
has soft new growth which tastes good.

In terms of like restaurant type food,
probably Indian for me as like more long term favourite.

Recently though I've began to love 'hotpot', though I hardly ever manager to have it.
The social aspect of all sharing the meal/'cooking' it together is awesome,
and i really LOVE the like extra hot spicy hotpot's. Its like the spiciest thing I've ever had, and really like burns your mouth, and leaves your lips feeling like they are on fire, but its so awesome.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with it, I'd reccomend you have a read of http://www.eatshowandtell.com/2008/07/27/shancheng-hot-pot-king-sydney-sussex-st-cbd/,
and give it a try with some friends sometime, even if you end up hating it, its definately an experiance you should have. :D
