Request Modification/Upgrade

Postby otto » Tue Sep 23, 2014 2:21 pm

My cPanel Username is: OTTO
My current pack is: Free Pack 2
I would like to change my pack to: Pack 4

I just got the Message that I ran out of bandwidth and I just planned to start a new project for my students, so I would be very thankful if you upgrade my package at least one number, so my sites are back online again.

thank you very much

Best hosting provider :)

Upgraded, however are you using your site? Your forum looks like it has a lot of spam on it.

Thank you very much

Yes we do, but phpBB is not the right software for our site, it also got spamed, so we are still looking for a good platform to make a community with forum

we tried a lot, but non really do it

a friend told me to use typo 3, but I don't look through it and can't find out how it works
another one said, we should make the site with joomly, but the kunena forum needs a newer MySQL server, so it also didn't work

for me is very important, that the Site is safe, and nobody will be able to hack or spam the forum

right now I'm trying to get the page working with ocPortal, but it's very complicated, but it should fit our needs

can you suggest a good portal software

we need News, forum and if possible a gallery and we need to make statik pages for impressum and so

thank you very much

Probably nothing out of the box that fits such a diverse set of requirements I'm afraid. I would suggest you find some devs who know what they're doing and get them onto some integration work.

okay thank you, I see the point

I read that joomla should easily be modifiable with Components and Plugins with no ned of programming

but Kunena, the forum component needs a newer MYSQL version, are you planing to update it?

We are planning to move to new servers, which will involve many software updates, but not too soon (next 6 months?).

Joomla I would not recommend myself as it's a bit messy. Programming isn't something to avoid if you seek a complex outcome, it is probably the only solution. Otherwise, you will need to change your expectations.

Drupal is probably the best cms, especially the coming one - because it uses a lot of symphony components.

Messy as in it's not a very clean structural and programmatic implementation. The way joomla menus work is pure insanity.
