Email received this morning. Genuine or not?

Postby kstennett » Sun Jan 21, 2018 11:08 am

Hi,
I got an email this morning claiming to be from you but from an email address "starcraftmazter@....." . The subject matter seems genuine (a move to new servers) especially in the light of your reply to Martin in the previous support topic however could you confirm please before I answer?

Thanks very much for your free hosting service it is a godsend for the very small web site I administer for a local voluntary organisation.

Hi there

Yes, it's genuine. I should probably make a global announcement about this.

Should we backup data or not during migration? Will migration changes IP Address. I used to use A record.

Yes, the IPs will change, I highly recommend backups, because the old server we have now is too dated for easy backups.
