PHP Settings

Postby Copyfight » Sun Sep 27, 2009 5:08 pm

Hi, before I request a plan, I'd like to ask if I can see the output of the phpinfo() function somewhere. In particular, I'd like to know if the memory_limit is set to 64 MiB (or more) and/or if I can raise it to 64 MiB using .htaccess.

Thanks, Giovanni

http://liway.com/test.php

It's currently 32MBs, however I could quite easy change it to 64MBs as I haven't seen the server use more than 30% of it's RAM lately which is a bit of a waste...

However would you mind stating what applications you plan to run which are so memory intensive on PHP?

Cheers

I need to install Drupal and enable several modules (CCK, Views, Panels, etc) in order to create a web community (or, better, a kind of Social Network) where users will be able to generate different types of contents, rate them, discuss about social issues, cooperate with each other, and so on.

I've seen that 32 MiB is not enough to enable the modules I need: if you can raise the memory_limit globally or I can change it via .htaccess or using the ini_set() function, it would be great.

Thanks anyway, Giovanni
